Position Summary
The Assistant Manager will supervise daily operations at Savory Grill.
Compensation
$20-$24/hour
Supervisory Responsibilties
  • Hires and trains restaurant staff.
  • Organizes and oversees the staff schedules.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to train and mentor staff.

    Duties / Responsibilties
  • Oversees food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food handling standards.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
  • Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
  • Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
  • Conducts daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Periodically evaluates restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance; schedules for service.

    Required Skills / Abilities
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory control, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Authorization to work as confirmed by E-Verify

    Education and Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry.
  • 21 years of age and must have a valid Responsible Beverage Service certification (RBS)
  • San Diego Food Safety Manager certification required

    Physical Requirements
  • Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds at times.
