Restaurant General Manager

Position Summary Savory Grill is actively interviewing for a full-time Restaurant General Manager. Savory Grill is a new fast casual restaurant, opening in the Island Food Court in Carlsbad this summer. The Restaurant General Manager will oversee and manage the daily operations of Savory Grill.
Compensation $23-$27/hour Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Hires and trains restaurant staff.
  • Organizes and oversees the staff schedules.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to train and mentor staff.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with restaurant policy.

    Duties/Responsibilities
  • Oversees food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food handling standards.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
  • Handles customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
  • Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
  • Estimates food and beverage costs.

    Required Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory control, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Authorization to work as confirmed by E-Verify

    Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role in the restaurant industry.
  • 21 years of age and must have a valid Responsible Beverage Service certification (RBS).
  • San Diego Food Safety Manager certification required.
